ABOUT - OPEN EYES FOUNDATION (OEFMC)
Open Eyes Foundation Mani Majra Chandigarh is a non-governmental organization established by Mr. Sandeep Kumar Badsra. It has been working since November 2016 by a group of dedicated social workers. It is a voluntary organization registered under the Societies Act XXI of 1860. OPEN EYES FOUNDATION MANIMAJRA CHANDIGARH has been working on different issues such as Education, Environmental Protection, Health, Human Rights, Drugs Control, Women Development, Child Development, Youth Development etc. Open Eyes Foundation is a unique, innovative initiative to sensitize and educate students towards environmental protection and improvement .We teach and inspire the students, parents, elders, teacher and friends to adopt 3R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) lifestyle, and learn how to protect, save and improve environment, reduce pollution, and contribute towards a greener life and society. We provide information about the utilization of old books, used stationery and goods. We reuse old books, copies, old stationery, and old goods and make notebooks, pens, educational materials etc. Open eyes foundation is acting as an implementer, catalyst and partner. It act as an implementer in that it mobilize resources in order to provide goods and services to people who are suffering due to poor economic conditions, health issues, lack of awareness etc. It acts as a catalyst and derives change. It has the ability to “inspire, facilitate or contribute to improve thinking and action to promote change”. It acts as partner alongside other organizations in order to tackle problems and address human needs more effectively.

Now poor children are getting books because of Sandeep Kumar. Sandeep collects books by going door to door and then distribute those books to children who are from the under privileged families, are willing to study but they do not have enough money to buy books. This trigerred Sandeep to start this initiative which is a great initiative and it is really inspiring for other also. Collecting the books and placing them on a common place and to ensure they reach the right people was a very big hurdle but Sandeep made it possible with his efforts and hard work. He is running and NGO Open Eyes Foundation and its volunteer are also supporting the same cause. Jiyo Dil Se Award Winner Season 7 Red FM 94.3.
